Herhaling: de categorie die nog lastig is

Zo coacht u: categorie en regel bij elk woord

De juf koos wat nog niet vanzelf gaat en herhaalde dat. Uw kind schreef samen met de klas twee woorden op het wisbordje (waaronder een woord met een apostrof-s-meervoud) en maakte een dictee met de categoriekaart en een zin met een werkwoord in de voltooide tijd.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na.
    VraagWelk woord hoorde je? Zeg het nog eens.
  2. Zeg de categorie en de regel. In de klas wijst uw kind bij het dictee met een vinger de categorie aan op de categoriekaart.
    VraagWelke categorieën zitten erin? Wat is de regel?
  3. Schrijf het woord op. Een samenstelling? Zet een sterretje ervoor.
    VraagIs het een samenstelling?
  4. Een zin met een werkwoord? Zoek de persoonsvorm met de vraagproef of de tijdproef.
    VraagWelk woord verandert in een andere tijd?

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na, noemt de categorieën en schrijft het op: de hyena · de courgette.Vraag: welke categorie hoor je? Wat is de regel?
  2. Lees voor: de piano’s · de kilo’s · de radio’s. Uw kind schrijft ze op en zegt de regel.Vraag: wat is de klank aan het eind? Hoort daar een apostrof?
  3. Lees voor: ‘Is de blauwe trui al gewassen?’ Uw kind zoekt pv, wwg en ond en doet de tijdproef.Vraag: welke werkwoorden horen bij elkaar?
  4. Uit het dagelijks leven: bedenk samen drie woorden waarvan het meervoud met apostrof-s wordt geschreven.Vraag: hoe weet je dat het klopt?

Tip van de juf

  • Kies samen één categorie die nog niet vanzelf gaat en oefen alleen die: liever een paar woorden goed dan veel half.
  • Lukt een woord echt niet? Doe het één keer voor, laat uw kind het nazeggen en dan zelf opschrijven.

How you coach: category and rule for every word

The teacher chose what is not yet automatic and revised it. Together with the class, your child wrote two words on the mini whiteboard (one of them with an apostrof-s-meervoud, apostrophe-s plural) and did a dictation with the category card and a sentence with a verb in the perfect tense.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back.
    AskWhich word did you hear? Say it again.
  2. Say the category and the rule. In class, during the dictation, your child points with a finger to the category on the categoriekaart (category card).
    AskWhich categories are in it? What is the rule?
  3. Write the word down. A samenstelling (compound word)? Put a star in front of it.
    AskIs it a compound word?
  4. A sentence with a verb? Find the persoonsvorm (finite verb) with the vraagproef (question test) or the tijdproef (tense test).

Practise together at the table

  1. Read each word once; your child repeats it, names the categories and writes it: de hyena · de courgette.Ask: which category do you hear? What is the rule?
  2. Read aloud: de piano’s · de kilo’s · de radio’s. Your child writes them down and says the rule.Ask: what sound is at the end? Apostrophe or not?
  3. Read aloud: ‘Is de blauwe trui al gewassen?’ Your child finds pv, wwg and ond and does the tense test.Ask: which verbs belong together?
  4. From daily life: together, think of three words whose plural is written with apostrophe-s.Ask: how do you know it is right?

  • Word really not working? Show it once; your child says it back, then writes it alone.
