Zo coacht u: categorie, regel en tijd van het werkwoord

Vandaag herhaalde de juf de categorieën en werkwoorden waar het nog niet vanzelf gaat. Uw kind oefende met een bal: wie hem vangt, noemt de tijd van het werkwoord. Daarna volgden een dictee en de woordsoorten.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord of de zin en zeg het na.
    VraagWat hoorde je? Zeg het nog eens.
  2. Leg je vinger op de categorie en denk aan de regel. Zeg de categorie en de regel.
    VraagWelke categorie zit erin? Wat is de regel?
  3. Een werkwoord? Zeg eerst in welke tijd het staat en noem de werkwoordregel.
    VraagIn welke tijd staat het werkwoord? Welke regel hoort erbij?
  4. Schrijf het woord op. Een samenstelling? Zet een sterretje ervoor.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: het pindaatje · de lekkage · de rechercheur.Vraag: welke categorie herken je? Wat is de regel?
  2. Balspel: u zegt een zin en gooit de bal; uw kind noemt de tijd en schrijft het werkwoord in een andere tijd: ‘Wij wandelen naar school’ · ‘De poes sprong op de bank’ · ‘Ik heb de kamer opgeruimd’.Vraag: in welke tijd staat het? Wat is de regel?
  3. Lees voor: ‘Pak de zachte kussens en de warme dekens!’ Uw kind zet onder elk woord de woordsoort: ww, lw, bnw, znw of vw.Vraag: welk woord is het voegwoord?
  4. Kies een categorie die nog lastig is, zeg de regel en bedenk er drie woorden bij.Vraag: hoe weet je dat het klopt?

Tip van de juf

  • Gebruik thuis dezelfde woorden en regels als op school: ander materiaal kan verwarring geven.
  • Lukt een woord niet? Doe het één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het zelf op.

How you coach: category, rule and tense of the verb

Today the teacher revised the categories and verbs that are not automatic yet. Your child practised with a ball: whoever catches it says the tense of the verb. After that came a dictation and the word classes.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word or the sentence and say it back.
    AskWhat did you hear? Say it again.
  2. Put your finger on the category and think of the rule. Say the category and the rule.
    AskWhich category is in it? What is the rule?
  3. A verb? First say which tense it is in and say the verb rule.
    AskWhich tense is the verb in? Which rule goes with it?
  4. Write the word down. A samenstelling (compound word)? Put a star in front of it.

Practise together at the table

  1. Read each word aloud once; your child says it back and writes it down: het pindaatje · de lekkage · de rechercheur.Ask: which category do you recognise? What is the rule?
  2. Ball game: you say a sentence and throw the ball; your child says the tense and writes the verb in another tense: ‘Wij wandelen naar school’ · ‘De poes sprong op de bank’ · ‘Ik heb de kamer opgeruimd’.Ask: which tense is it in? What is the rule?
  3. Read aloud: ‘Pak de zachte kussens en de warme dekens!’ Your child writes the word class under each word: ww (verb), lw (article), bnw (adjective), znw (noun) or vw (conjunction).Ask: which word is the conjunction?
  4. Choose a category that is still difficult, say the rule and think of three words.Ask: how do you know it is right?

  • A word not working? Show it once; your child says it back and then writes it alone.
