Herhaling met een bal: regel en werkwoordstijd

Zo coacht u: de regel noemen en de tijd bepalen

Uw kind oefende vandaag met een bal: de juf zegt een categorie, gooit de bal, en wie hem vangt noemt de regel. Ook noemde uw kind bij een zin het werkwoord en de tijd, en maakte het een dictee zonder categoriekaart.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Zeg een categorie en gooi de bal. Wie de bal vangt, noemt de regel.

  2. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na. Denk in je hoofd aan de categorie en de regel; er ligt geen categoriekaart.

  3. Bij een zin: welk woord is het werkwoord? In welke tijd staat de zin: tegenwoordige, verleden of voltooide tijd?

  4. Schrijf het woord op, zonder categorienummer. Een samenstelling krijgt een sterretje ervoor.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Balspel: u zegt een categorie (routewoord · garagewoord) en gooit een bal; uw kind vangt en noemt de regel. Wissel om.Vraag: welk woord past bij de regel?
  2. Lees elke zin voor; uw kind zegt het werkwoord en de tijd: ‘Opa schildert de deur.’ · ‘Wij hebben brood gebakken.’ · ‘De hond sprong hoog.’Vraag: welk woord verandert in een andere tijd?
  3. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: de teddybeer · de reportage · de tour.Vraag: welke categorie herken je? Is het een samenstelling?
  4. Lees voor: ‘Opa leest een krant terwijl oma koffie zet.’ Uw kind schrijft de zin op met de komma en zet onder elk woord de woordsoort: znw, ww, lw of vw.Vraag: waar komt de komma en waarom?

How you coach: saying the rule and finding the tense

Today your child practised with a ball: the teacher says a category and throws the ball, and whoever catches it says the rule. Your child also named the verb and the tense in a sentence, and did a dictation without the category card.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Say a category and throw the ball. Whoever catches the ball says the rule.

  2. Listen to the word and say it back. Think of the category and the rule in your head; there is no category card.

  3. In a sentence: which word is the verb? Which tense is the sentence in: present, past or perfect tense?

  4. Write the word down, without a category number. A samenstelling (compound word) gets a star in front of it.

  1. Ball game: you say a category (routewoord · garagewoord) and throw a ball; your child catches it and says the rule. Swap.Ask: which word fits the rule?
  2. Read each sentence aloud; your child says the verb and the tense: ‘Opa schildert de deur.’ · ‘Wij hebben brood gebakken.’ · ‘De hond sprong hoog.’Ask: which word changes in another tense?
  3. Read each word aloud once; your child says it back and writes it down: de teddybeer · de reportage · de tour.Ask: which category do you recognise? Is it a compound word?
  4. Read aloud: ‘Opa leest een krant terwijl oma koffie zet.’ Your child writes the sentence with the comma and writes the word class under each word: znw, ww, lw or vw (conjunction).Ask: where does the comma go and why?
