Het chefwoord zonder kaart

Lesdoel: "Ik kan het chefwoord goed schrijven."

Zo coacht u: zonder kaart, categorie en regel

Uw kind oefende vandaag opnieuw het chefwoord (Chefwoord. Ik schrijf c h.) en maakte het dictee zonder categoriekaart: de regels moeten in het hoofd zitten. Ook herhaalde uw kind categorieën als het colawoord en het t(s)ie-woord en de werkwoorden in verschillende tijden.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na. Denk in je hoofd aan de categorie en de regel: er ligt geen kaart en je schrijft geen nummers.
    VraagWelk woord hoorde je? Welke categorie is het?
  2. Zeg de regel van het chefwoord: ‘Chefwoord. Ik schrijf c h.’
    VraagZit er een c h in het woord? Waar?
  3. Zeg ook de andere categorieën. Een klankgroepenwoord verwoord je zo: ‘De klankgroep is … De laatste klank is … Dat is een lange klank. Ik neem een stukje van de … weg.’
    VraagWelke andere categorieën zitten erin?
  4. Een werkwoord? Zeg de ik-vorm en hoe het werkwoord in de voltooide tijd gaat (ik heb …).

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor, zonder kaart; uw kind schrijft het op en zegt de categorie en de regel: de chirurg · de machine · de benauwdheid.Vraag: welke categorieën zitten erin? Hoor je een /t/ aan het eind?
  2. Categorieën opfrissen: u zegt de categorie, uw kind zegt de regel: Centwoord · Eeuw-ieuw-woord · Zingwoord · Isch-woord.Vraag: kun je er een woord bij bedenken?
  3. Werkwoordenrij: u zegt het werkwoord (bouwen · plukken · tekenen), uw kind schrijft ik … · ik heb …Vraag: wat is de ik-vorm? Hoe klinkt het woord in de voltooide tijd?
  4. Lees voor en laat in één keer opschrijven: ‘De chef bakt een lekkere pannenkoek.’ Uw kind controleert ook de hoofdletter en de punt.Vraag: welk woord is een chefwoord?

Tip van de juf

  • Neem het oefendictee af zoals de juf: weinig aanwijzingen, rustig. Zo ziet u wat uw kind zelf kan.
  • Gebruik klanknamen (de klank ‘choo’, niet de letternamen) en laat een woord nooit spellen.

How you coach: without the card, category and rule

Today your child practised the chefwoord (chef word: Chefwoord. Ik schrijf c h.) again and did the dictation without the category card: the rules have to be in their head. Your child also revised categories such as the colawoord and the t(s)ie-woord, and verbs in different tenses.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back. Think of the category and the rule in your head: there is no card and you do not write numbers.
    AskWhich word did you hear? Which category is it?
  2. Say the chef word rule: ‘Chefwoord. Ik schrijf c h.’ (Chef word. I write c h.)
    AskIs there a c h in the word? Where?
  3. Also say the other categories. You work out a klankgroepenwoord (sound group word) like this: ‘De klankgroep is … De laatste klank is … Dat is een lange klank. Ik neem een stukje van de … weg.’ (The sound group is … The last sound is … That is a long sound. I take a bit of the … away.)
    AskWhich other categories are in it?
  4. A verb? Say the ik-vorm (the ‘I’ form) and how the verb goes in the perfect tense (ik heb …).
    AskWhat is the ik-vorm? How does it sound in the perfect tense?

Practise together at the table

  1. Read each word aloud once, without the card; your child writes it down and says the category and the rule: de chirurg · de machine · de benauwdheid.Ask: which categories are in it? Do you hear a /t/ at the end?
  2. Refreshing categories: you say the category, your child says the rule: Centwoord · Eeuw-ieuw-woord · Zingwoord · Isch-woord.Ask: can you think of a word for it?
  3. Verb rows: you say the verb (bouwen · plukken · tekenen), your child writes ik … · ik heb …Ask: what is the ik-vorm? How does the word sound in the perfect tense?
  4. Read aloud and let your child write it in one go: ‘De chef bakt een lekkere pannenkoek.’ Your child also checks the capital letter and the full stop.Ask: which word is a chef word?

Tip from the teacher

  • Give the practice dictation like the teacher does: few hints, calmly. That way you see what your child can do alone.
  • Use letter sounds (the sound ‘choo’, said ‘sho’, not the letter names) and never spell a word out.
