Vandaag maakte uw kind het dictee zonder categoriekaart en met het staalboek dicht: de regels moeten in het hoofd zitten. Uw kind bedacht ook woorden met een c die als k klinkt (colawoorden) en bepaalde in een zin de woordsoorten.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na.
    VraagWelk woord hoorde je? Zeg het nog eens.
  2. Denk in je hoofd aan de categorie en aan de regel. Er ligt geen categoriekaart en het staalboek is dicht.
    VraagWelke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  3. Zit er meer dan één categorie in het woord? Zeg ze allemaal.
    VraagWelke categorieën zitten erin?
  4. Schrijf het woord op, zonder categorienummer. Een samenstelling krijgt een sterretje ervoor.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind herhaalt het en schrijft het op, zonder staalboek: de cactus · de bioscoop · de apotheek.Vraag: welke categorieën herken je? Wat is de regel?
  2. Colawoorden uit het hoofd: uw kind bedenkt samen met u vijf woorden waarin een c voorkomt die als k klinkt, en noemt de regel erbij.Vraag: wat is de regel? Hoe weet je dat het klopt?
  3. Lees voor: ‘De buurman is naar de winkel gelopen.’ Uw kind zet onder elk woord de woordsoort: lw, znw, hww, vz of vdw, en noemt de tijd van de zin.Vraag: welk woord is het hulpwerkwoord? Welk woord hoort daarbij?
  4. Uit het dagelijks leven: uw kind schrijft een zin met een woord uit opdracht 1 en onderstreept de persoonsvorm.Vraag: hoe vind je de persoonsvorm?

Tip van de juf

  • Zonder categoriekaart: laat uw kind eerst de regel in zijn hoofd zeggen en dan pas schrijven. Noem de categorie niet voor.

How you coach: the dictation without the category card

Today your child did the dictation without the categoriekaart (category card) and with the staalboek (Staal book) closed: the rules have to be in their head. Your child also thought of colawoorden (cola words) and found the word classes in a sentence.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back.
    AskWhich word did you hear? Say it again.
  2. Think of the category and the rule in your head. There is no category card and the Staal book is closed.
    AskWhich category is this? What is the rule?
  3. More than one category in the word? Say them all.
    AskWhich categories are in it?
  4. Write the word down, without a category number. A samenstelling (compound word) gets a star in front of it.

Practise together at the table

  1. Read each word aloud once; your child says it back and writes it down, without the Staal book: de cactus · de bioscoop · de apotheek.Ask: which categories do you recognise? What is the rule?
  2. Cola words by heart: together, think of five words with a c that sounds like k. Your child says the rule.Ask: what is the rule? How do you know it is right?
  3. Read aloud: ‘De buurman is naar de winkel gelopen.’ Your child writes the word class under each word (lw, znw, hww, vz, vdw: article, noun, auxiliary verb, preposition, past participle) and names the tense.Ask: which word is the auxiliary verb? Which word goes with it?
  4. Daily life: your child writes a sentence with a word from exercise 1 and underlines the persoonsvorm (finite verb).Ask: how do you find it?
