Zo coacht u: de bal rond, met categorie en regel

Vandaag oefende uw kind met de bal: de juf noemt een categorie en gooit de bal, het kind dat de bal vangt noemt een woord en zegt de regel. Daarna schreef uw kind woorden met meerdere categorieën en oefende het grondwoord + te/ste.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. U noemt een categorie en gooit de bal. Wie de bal vangt, noemt een woord bij die categorie en zegt de regel. Na drie woorden: een nieuwe categorie.
    VraagWelk woord hoort bij deze categorie? Wat is de regel?
  2. Klopt het woord en klopt de regel? Controleer samen.

  3. Leg je vinger steeds op de categorie. Denk aan de regel. Schrijf het woord op. Zet een sterretje voor een samenstelling.

  4. Grondwoord + te/ste: Grondwoord is … Zeg de regel van het grondwoord. Dan te of ste.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. De bal rond. Gooi een bal (of een opgerolde sok). U noemt colawoord, isch-woord, t(s)ie-woord of speciaal hakwoord; uw kind noemt een woord en de regel. Na drie woorden een nieuwe categorie.Vraag: hoe controleer je het woord?
  2. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: de diepte · de diepste · ritmisch · de relatie.Vraag: welke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  3. Lees voor: Het kleine meisje draagt een blauwe jas. Uw kind zoekt de bijvoeglijke naamwoorden.Vraag: waar zegt het woord iets over?

Tip van de juf

  • Heeft u geen bal? Een opgerolde sok gaat ook. Wissel af: soms noemt u het woord, soms uw kind.
  • Een samenstelling krijgt een sterretje ervoor.

How you coach: pass the ball, with category and rule

Today your child practised with a ball: the teacher names a category and throws the ball, and the child who catches it names a word and says the rule. Then your child wrote words with several categories and practised grondwoord + te/ste (root word + te or ste).

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. You name a category and throw the ball. Whoever catches it names a word for that category and says the rule. After three words: a new category.

  2. Are the word and the rule right? Check together.
    AskHow do you check the word?
  3. Put your finger on the category each time. Think of the rule. Write the word down. Put a star in front of a samenstelling (compound word).

  4. Root word + te/ste: Grondwoord is … (The root word is …) Say the rule of the root word. Dan te of ste. (Then te or ste.)

Practise together at the table
