Uw kind oefende vandaag opnieuw het tremawoord: Tremawoord. Puntjes op de … Het trema geeft aan dat elke letter apart wordt uitgesproken. Bij het opfrissen noemde uw kind ook de regels van oudere categorieën, zoals het theewoord en het voorvoegsel.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na.
    VraagWelk woord hoorde je? Zeg het nog eens.
  2. Wordt elke letter apart uitgesproken? Denk aan de categorie en zeg de regel. Wacht voor het trema en schrijf dan verder.

  3. Noem ook de andere categorieën in het woord, in volgorde van links naar rechts.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: Tunesië · de zeeën · Oekraïne.Vraag: op welke letter komen de puntjes? Wat is de regel?
  2. Categorieënspel: u noemt een categorie (theewoord · voorvoegsel · achtervoegsel); uw kind noemt de regel en bedenkt er een woord bij.Vraag: hoe weet je dat het woord klopt?
  3. Werkwoorden: u zegt het werkwoord (kleuren · pakken · lenen); uw kind schrijft jij … in de tegenwoordige tijd en jij hebt … in de voltooide tijd.Vraag: welke werkwoordregel hoort bij jij?
  4. Lees voor: ‘De monteur repareert de oude lamp.’ Uw kind zet onder elk woord de woordsoort: lw, znw, ww, bnw of vz.Vraag: welk woord zegt iets over de lamp?

Tip van de juf

  • Eerst de regel zeggen en dan pas de puntjes schrijven. Zeg klanken, geen letternamen.
  • Veelgemaakte fout: de puntjes op de foute letter zetten. Vraag: welke letters spreek je los van elkaar uit?

How you coach: the trema word and older categories

Today your child practised the tremawoord (word with a trema) again: Tremawoord. Puntjes op de … (Trema word. Dots on the …) The trema shows that each letter is pronounced separately. In the warm-up your child also said the rules of older categories, such as the theewoord (word with th, as in thee) and the voorvoegsel (prefix).

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back.
    AskWhich word did you hear? Say it again.
  2. Is each letter pronounced separately? Think of the category and say the rule. Stop before the trema and then carry on writing.
    AskWhich category is this? Which letter gets the dots?
  3. Also name the other categories in the word, in order from left to right.

  4. Write the word down. A samenstelling (compound word)? Put a star in front of it.

  2. Category game: you name a category (theewoord · voorvoegsel · achtervoegsel, suffix); your child says the rule and thinks of a word for it.Ask: how do you know the word is right?
  3. Verbs: you say the verb (kleuren · pakken · lenen); your child writes jij … in the present tense and jij hebt … in the perfect tense.Ask: which verb rule goes with jij?
  4. Read aloud: ‘De monteur repareert de oude lamp.’ Your child writes the word class under each word: lw (article), znw (noun), ww (verb), bnw (adjective) or vz (preposition).Ask: which word says something about the lamp?
