Zo coacht u: dictee zonder categoriekaart, tegenwoordige en verleden tijd

Vandaag maakte uw kind het dictee zonder categoriekaart en herhaalde het categorieën, zoals de apostrof-s. Ook maakte uw kind bij werkwoorden de verleden tijd en zocht het in een zin de woordsoorten.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na. Denk in je hoofd aan de categorie en aan de regel.
    VraagWelke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  2. Schrijf het woord op, zonder categorienummer. Een samenstelling krijgt een sterretje.
    VraagIs het een samenstelling?
  3. Werkwoord: schrijf de tegenwoordige tijd (de werkwoordregel) en maak er de verleden tijd van.
    VraagWat is de ik-vorm? Hoe is de verleden tijd?
  4. Woordsoorten: zet onder elk woord de afkorting, bijvoorbeeld lw, znw, ww, vz of sbnw.

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op, zonder boek: de iglo’s · ’s winters · de panda’s · ’s ochtends.Vraag: welke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  2. Werkwoorden: u zegt het hele werkwoord (zwemmen · schrijven · bijten); uw kind schrijft hij … in de tegenwoordige tijd en hij … in de verleden tijd.Vraag: welke regel hoort bij de tegenwoordige tijd?
  3. Lees voor: ‘De kok bakt eieren in een koperen pan.’ Uw kind zet onder elk woord de woordsoort: lw, znw, ww, vz of sbnw.Vraag: van welk materiaal is de pan?
  4. Bedenk twee woorden die in het meervoud een apostrof-s krijgen en twee woorden die beginnen met ’s, zoals ’s winters.Vraag: wat is de regel? Hoe controleer je het woord?

  • Eindigt de ik-vorm al op een t (ik zet), dan komt er bij hij geen tweede t bij: hij zet.
  • De apostrof-s staat vooraan bij ’s ochtends en ’s winters, en achteraan bij een meervoud met een lange klank aan het eind.

How you coach: dictation without the category card, present and past tense

Today your child did the dictation without the category card and revised categories, such as the apostrophe-s. Your child also made the past tense of verbs and found the word classes in a sentence.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back. Think of the category and the rule in your head.
    AskWhich category is this? What is the rule?
  2. Write the word down, without a category number. A samenstelling (compound word) gets a star.
    AskIs it a compound word?
  3. Verb: write the present tense (the verb rule) and change it into the past tense.
    AskWhat is the ik-vorm (the ‘I’ form)? What is the past tense?
  4. Word classes: write the abbreviation under each word, for example lw, znw, ww, vz or sbnw.

Tip from the teacher

  • If the ik-vorm already ends in t (ik zet), no second t is added with hij: hij zet.
  • The apostrophe-s goes at the front in ’s ochtends and ’s winters, and at the end of a plural with a long sound at the end.
