Uw kind leerde vandaag een nieuwe categorie: het woord van het gids-rijtje. Dit zijn woorden die u niet kunt horen of afleiden, zoals ginds en desnoods: uw kind leert ze uit het hoofd. De regel: Woord van het gids-rijtje. Ik schrijf d. Het rijtje (tien woorden) hangt als printblad in de klas.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Herken het woord: staat het in het gids-rijtje? Deze woorden kun je niet horen of afleiden, je moet ze kennen.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: ginds · desnoods. Daarna de zin: ‘Desnoods wacht ik ginds bij de brug.’Vraag: welke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  2. Het uw-rijtje: uw kind bedenkt een woord van het uw-rijtje en zegt: Woord van het uw-rijtje. Ik schrijf u.Vraag: staat het woord in het uw-rijtje?
  3. Werkwoordenrij: u zegt het werkwoord (sluipen · vinden · zingen), uw kind schrijft ik … · hij … · … jij?Vraag: wat is de ik-vorm? Waar komt een t?
  4. Uw kind bedenkt zelf een zin met ginds of desnoods, schrijft hem op en zegt bij het woord de categorie en de regel.Vraag: welk woord is van het gids-rijtje? Wat is de regel?

Tip van de juf

  • Er is geen regel waarom: de d moet uw kind kennen. Daarom helpt kort en vaak oefenen, elke dag even.
  • Uw kind zegt bij elk woord de categorie en de regel, niet alleen het woord.

How you coach: the school’s gids-rijtje

Today your child learned a new category: the woord van het gids-rijtje (a word from a list of ten words you learn by heart). These are words you cannot hear or work out, such as ginds and desnoods: your child learns them by heart. The rule: Woord van het gids-rijtje. Ik schrijf d. (Word from the gids-rijtje. I write d.) The list hangs on a printed sheet in the classroom.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Recognise the word: is it in the gids-rijtje? You cannot hear or work out these words, you have to know them.

  • There is no rule for why: your child simply has to know the d. That is why short, frequent practice helps, a little every day.
  • With every word your child says the category and the rule, not just the word.
