Theewoord en persoonsvorm zonder kaart

Zo coacht u: dictee zonder categoriekaart

Uw kind maakte vandaag het oefendictee zonder categoriekaart en met het staalboek dicht: de regels moeten in het hoofd zitten. Ook oefende uw kind het theewoord (Theewoord. Ik schrijf t h.) en de persoonsvorm (werkwoorden als verraden en bevrijden).

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Luister naar het woord en zeg het na.
    VraagWelk woord hoorde je? Zeg het nog eens.
  2. Denk in je hoofd aan de categorie en de regel. Er ligt geen categoriekaart.
    VraagWelke categorie is dit? Wat is de regel?
  3. Schrijf het woord op. Een samenstelling krijgt een sterretje ervoor.
    VraagIs het een samenstelling?
  4. Een werkwoord? Eerst: is het een persoonsvorm? Dan de werkwoordregel: Persoonsvorm in de tegenwoordige tijd: ik-vorm+t, behalve bij ik en als jij of je erachter staat.
    VraagIs het een persoonsvorm? Wat is de ik-vorm?
  5. Zeg de categorie en de regel in klanknamen. Spel het woord niet met letternamen.
    VraagWil je de regel nog één keer hardop zeggen?

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op, zonder boek: de marathon · de eeuwigheid · de thermoskan.Vraag: welke categorie(ën) zitten erin?
  2. Werkwoordenrij: u zegt het werkwoord (verbranden · verraden · beantwoorden), uw kind schrijft ik … · hij … · … jij?Vraag: wat is de ik-vorm? Waar komt een t?
  3. Uw kind schrijft bij ‘hij’ de persoonsvorm van: ontmoeten · besluiten.Vraag: eindigt de ik-vorm al op een t?
  4. Rara, wat is het? Beide zijn theewoorden. a) Hiermee meet je of iemand koorts heeft. b) Een dokter hangt dit om zijn nek om naar je hart te luisteren.Vraag: met welke klank begint het woord?

Tip van de juf

  • Eindigt de ik-vorm al op een t (ik ontmoet, ik besluit), dan komt er bij hij geen extra t. Wil uw kind toch een tweede t schrijven? Leg dit uit.
  • Laat uw kind het woord niet spellen met letternamen: dan gaat het fout. Zeg de klanken.

How you coach: dictation without the category card

Today your child did the practice dictation without the category card and with the Staal book closed: the rules have to be in their head. Your child also practised the theewoord (tea word: Theewoord. Ik schrijf t h.) and the persoonsvorm (finite verb, with verbs like verraden and bevrijden).

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Listen to the word and say it back.
    AskWhich word did you hear? Say it again.
  2. Think of the category and the rule in your head. There is no category card.
    AskWhich category is this? What is the rule?
  3. Write the word down. A samenstelling (compound word) gets a star in front of it.

  4. A verb? First: is it a finite verb? Then the verb rule: Persoonsvorm in de tegenwoordige tijd: ik-vorm+t, behalve bij ik en als jij of je erachter staat. (Finite verb in the present tense: the ‘I’ form + t, except with ik and when jij or je comes after it.)
    AskIs it a finite verb? What is the ik-vorm (the ‘I’ form)?
  5. Say the category and the rule using letter sounds. Do not spell the word with letter names.
    AskWill you say the rule out loud one more time?

  1. Read each word aloud once; your child says it back and writes it down, without the book: de marathon · de eeuwigheid · de thermoskan.Ask: which categories are in it?

  4. Riddle: what is it? Both are tea words. a) You use this to measure whether someone has a fever. b) A doctor hangs this around their neck to listen to your heart.Ask: which sound does the word start with?

How did it go?

Tip from the teacher

  • If the ik-vorm already ends in a t (ik ontmoet, ik besluit), no extra t comes with hij. Does your child still want to write a second t? Explain this.
  • Do not let your child spell the word with letter names: that is where it goes wrong. Say the sounds.
