Vandaag rondde uw kind het kilowoord met -ieel en -iaal af en bedacht het centwoorden. Ook maakte uw kind van sterke werkwoorden de verleden tijd en het voltooid deelwoord.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Hoor je /ie/ in een woord op -ieel, -iaal of -iaan? Spreek het overdreven uit en zeg: Kilowoord. Ik schrijf i.

  2. Centwoord: een woord waarin je een s hoort, maar waarin je een c schrijft. Zeg: Centwoord. Ik schrijf c.

  3. Werkwoord: zeg de verleden tijd en het voltooid deelwoord, met de regels: Persoonsvorm in de verleden tijd van een sterk werkwoord. Ik denk aan de categoriekaart. Voltooid deelwoord. Ik denk aan de categoriekaart.

  4. Verwoord het woord stap voor stap en zeg bij elke categorie de regel.

  1. Lees elk woord één keer voor, met een overdreven /ie/; uw kind zegt het na en schrijft het op: het prieel · industrieel.Vraag: hoor je /ie/? Wat is de regel?
  2. Centwoorden bedenken: om de beurt noemt een van u een woord met een c die als s klinkt; de ander zegt de categorie en de regel. Bedenk er samen vijf.Vraag: klinkt de c als een s of als een k?
  3. U noemt het werkwoord; uw kind zegt hij … (verleden tijd) en hij heeft … (voltooid deelwoord): lezen · vliegen · schieten.Vraag: welke werkwoordregel hoort erbij?

Tip van de juf

  • De categoriekaart hangt in de klas. U hoeft de sterke werkwoorden niet uit het hoofd te kennen: laat uw kind uitleggen hoe het de vormen weet.
  • Spreek de /ie/ overdreven uit: dan hoort uw kind de klank die het moet onthouden.

How you coach: kilo word, cent word and strong verbs

Today your child finished the kilowoord (kilo word) with -ieel and -iaal and thought of centwoorden (cent words: a c that sounds like an s). Your child also made the past tense and the past participle of strong verbs.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Do you hear /ie/ in a word ending in -ieel, -iaal or -iaan? Say it in an exaggerated way and say: Kilowoord. Ik schrijf i. (Kilo word: you hear /ie/ but write i.)

Practise together at the table

  1. Read each word aloud once, with an exaggerated /ie/; your child says it back and writes it down: het prieel · industrieel.Ask: do you hear /ie/? What is the rule?
  2. Thinking of cent words: take turns; one of you names a word with a c that sounds like an s, the other says the category and the rule. Think of five together.Ask: does the c sound like an s or like a k?
  3. You say the verb; your child says hij … (past tense) and hij heeft … (past participle): lezen · vliegen · schieten.Ask: which verb rule goes with it?
