Uw kind herhaalde vandaag het isch-woord (eindigt op /isch/), het langermaakwoord van het b-rijtje (een woord dat je langer maakt om de b te horen) en woorden met grondwoord + te of ste, zoals hardste. In de klas deed uw kind een estafette-dictee met een loper en een schrijver.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.

Tip van de juf

  • Bij het b-rijtje werkt maar één trucje: maak het woord langer en luister. U hoeft het rijtje niet te kennen, de lijst hangt in de klas.
  • Bij grondwoord + te/ste eerst het grondwoord zeggen, dan pas schrijven.

How you coach: category, rule and the school’s relay dictation

Today your child revised the isch-woord (ends in /isch/), the langermaakwoord van het b-rijtje (make-longer word from the b list: make it longer to hear the b) and words with grondwoord + te or ste (root word + te or ste), such as hardste. In class your child did a relay dictation with a runner and a writer.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.

  • With the b list only one trick works: make the word longer and listen. You do not need to know the list; it hangs in the classroom.
  • With root word + te/ste, first say the root word, and only then write.
