Waar is de foto gemaakt? Vanaf welke plek kijk je?

Uw kind leerde vandaag met een plattegrond (een tekening van bovenaf) bepalen vanaf welke plek een foto is gemaakt. Het gaat in gedachten op een plek staan en kijkt wat er links, in het midden en rechts staat. Staat het kind aan de overkant, dan zijn links en rechts andersom.

  • Laat uw kind vertellen. U luistert en vraagt door.
  • Vraag, maar zeg het antwoord niet voor. Ook niet als u het weet.
  • Prijs de aanpak, niet alleen het antwoord.
  1. Kijk naar de foto: wat staat links, wat in het midden, wat rechts? Wat staat vooraan?
    VraagWat staat op de foto links, in het midden en rechts? Wat staat het dichtst bij?
  2. Kies een plek op de plattegrond. Ga daar in gedachten staan en kijk de kant van de pijl op.
    VraagWelke plek kies je? Naar welke kant kijk je daar?
  3. Wat zie je dan links, in het midden en rechts?
    VraagWat zie je van daaruit links, in het midden en rechts?
  4. Klopt het met de foto? Dan is dat de plek. Klopt het niet? Probeer een andere plek.

Samen oefenen aan tafel

  1. Zet drie dingen verspreid op tafel, niet op een rij (een beker, een boek, een appel). Teken de tafel van bovenaf: dat is je plattegrond. Zet aan de vier kanten A, B, C en D, met een pijl naar de tafel.Vraag: ligt alles op je tekening op dezelfde plek als op tafel?
  2. Uw kind kijkt weg. U gaat bij één letter zitten en noemt wat u ziet, van links naar rechts: uw 'foto'. Bij welke letter zit u?Vraag: wat staat links, in het midden en rechts? Welke plek probeer je? Klopt het?
  3. Kies de letter tegenover jouw plek. Wat zie je daar van links naar rechts? Zeg het met de plattegrond en ga dan echt kijken.Vraag: draai je tekening zo dat die letter onderaan staat. Wat zie je nu?
  4. Uit het dagelijks leven: twee mensen zitten tegenover elkaar. De een ziet de fruitschaal rechts. Aan welke kant ziet de ander hem?Vraag: kijken ze dezelfde kant op?

Hoe ging het?

Tip van de juf

  • Dé fout van vandaag: de plattegrond gewoon van links naar rechts lezen, ook als je aan de overkant staat. Dan zijn links en rechts juist andersom. Laat twee mensen tegenover elkaar staan en allebei hun linkerhand opsteken.
  • Draai het blad zo dat de plek waar je staat onderaan komt: dan kijk je dezelfde kant op als de fotograaf. Laat uw kind het blad echt draaien.
Antwoorden voor de ouder: 1–3: hangt af van uw tafel. Controleer door samen echt op de plek te gaan zitten, op tafelhoogte (zo doet de klas het ook). Aan de overkant is links en rechts andersom. · 4: links.

Where was the photo taken? Where are you looking from?

How you coach: the school's plan 'Where was the photo taken?'

Today your child learned to use a plan (plattegrond, a drawing from above) to find the place a photo was taken from. In their mind your child stands at a place and looks at what is left, in the middle and right. From the opposite side, left and right are the other way round.

  • Let your child explain. You listen and ask more.
  • Ask, but do not give the answer. Not even if you know it.
  • Praise the method, not just the answer.
  1. Look at the photo: what is on the left, what in the middle, what on the right? What is at the front?
    AskWhat is left, in the middle and right on the photo? What is closest?
  2. Choose a place on the plattegrond. Stand there in your mind and look in the direction of the arrow.
    AskWhich place do you choose? Which way do you look?
  3. What do you see then on the left, in the middle and on the right?
    AskWhat do you see from there: left, middle, right?
  4. Does it match the photo? Then that is the place. Does it not match? Try another place.
    AskDoes it match the photo? If not, which place do you try then?

Practise together at the table

  1. Put three things spread out on the table, not in a row (a mug, a book, an apple). Draw the table from above: your plattegrond. Put A, B, C and D on the four sides, with arrows to the table.Ask: is everything on your drawing in the same place as on the table?
  2. Your child looks away. You sit down at one letter and say what you see, from left to right: your 'photo'. At which letter are you sitting?Ask: what is on the left, in the middle and on the right? Which place do you try? Does it match?
  3. Choose the letter opposite your place. What do you see there from left to right? Say it using the plattegrond and then really go and look.Ask: turn your drawing so that this letter is at the bottom. What do you see now?
  4. From daily life: two people sit opposite each other. One of them sees the fruit bowl on the right. On which side does the other person see it?Ask: are they looking the same way?

How did it go?

Tip from the teacher

  • The typical mistake: reading the plattegrond from left to right, also from the opposite side. Then left and right are exactly the other way round. Let two people face each other and both raise their left hand.
  • Turn the sheet so that your place is at the bottom: then you look the same way as the photographer. Let your child really turn it.
Answers for the parent: 1–3: depends on your table. Check by really sitting there together, at table height (as in class). On the opposite side, left and right swap. · 4: on the left.
